Description
Instrument disinfectant is an important element used to prevent major risk of infection in medical or surgical equipments. This occurs due to the contact between surgical instrument and a patient’s sterile tissue or mucous membranes in all invasive procedures that leads to introduction of microbes generated infections.
Medical or surgical equipments are treated through a submersion bath process by instrument disinfectants, which makes them cleaned, germless and safer to be reused by reducing the amount of infectious germs. Instrument disinfectants also exhibit corrosion inhibition properties which makes them more friendly with metal surfaces of the equipments they are being used on.
