The Katalox Light®- Arsenic Removal Media can be used in a pH range of 5.8 – 10.5. Recommended flow rates are based on the concentration of the iron, manganese and other mentioned contaminant in the raw water, but a good rule-of-thumb would be the loading rate at 6 – 12 gpm/ft² (15 – 30 m/h). The media will require occasional backwash and the OXYDES treatment to clean it’s solid metal oxide surface.
It is an important part of an Arsenic Removal Plant and filter.

Calcite is an effective water filter media, extracted from its natural form of Calcium Carbonate available with high whiteness, purity and free flowing nature. It is generally used in residential and commercial water treatment applications by neutralizing acidic or low pH water to eliminate corrosiveness and to balance pH prior to iron treatment. It is …
Garnet is a natural minerals and not a by products of a chemical process. It is inert and non-toxic and virtually free of silica, thus excluding any danger whatsoever of silicosis hazard. Garnet has a very low dust emission. This makes it safe for the operator , does not pollute the atmosphere and causes minimum …
Fine sand is a filter media used in ideal pre-treatment process for water containing waterborne parasites, bacteria and suspended solids that cause turbidity, color, taste and odour. It is effective at treating groundwater with high iron and dissolved gases. Fine sand is composed of grains ranging from size of 0.10 to 0.25 mm in diameter. …
