AFM Glass Media Replacing sand in all media filtration applications Green recycled glass, uniquely shaped particles with activated surface Bio-resistant, self-sterilizing, sustainable, activated filtration media
KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS :
• Over 30% lower running costs vs. sand
• Over 50% lower chlorine consumption and lower disinfection by-products vs. sand
• Filtration down to several microns at 100% efficiency without filtration aids
• More than 4 times longer lifecycle than sand
• Specifically engineered product, targeted for an efficient removal of priority metal oxides and other target constitutes
• Guaranteed prevention of channeling & biological fouling on AFM® surface
• AFM® replaces sand in all filtration applications. It is manufactured from a specific glass type and processed to obtain the optimum particle size and shape, and then activated to increase the surface area by 300 times over crushed glass or sand. The high surface area is negatively charged (zeta potential) to electro-statically attract organic and small particles. It also has permanent metal oxide catalysts, creating a high redox potential, to make AFM® self-sterilizing
• Simply replace the sand in your media filters with AFM®
• AFM® has a 15 % lower density than sand by weight : E.g. if your filter takes 200 kg of sand it will only require: 200 x 0.85 = 170 kg of AFM®
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :
• Minimum Order Quantity: 25 Kilogram
The Katalox Light®- Arsenic Removal Media can be used in a pH range of 5.8 – 10.5. Recommended flow rates are based on the concentration of the iron, manganese and other mentioned contaminant in the raw water, but a good rule-of-thumb would be the loading rate at 6 – 12 gpm/ft² (15 – 30 m/h). …
We specialize in trading high quality Coarse Sand. Due to erosion effect these rock fragments gets naturally tumbled with flowing river water from mountains towards planes, making its surface smooth. To avoid any impurity, our quality experts test this sand on set parameters of quality in adherence to defined standards. Leveraging over the skills of …
Fine sand is a filter media used in ideal pre-treatment process for water containing waterborne parasites, bacteria and suspended solids that cause turbidity, color, taste and odour. It is effective at treating groundwater with high iron and dissolved gases. Fine sand is composed of grains ranging from size of 0.10 to 0.25 mm in diameter. …
Anthracite Filter Media is commonly used as sub-fill and as a component of multi-media filters. Anthracite is a durable media with long life and a wide temperature range. It contains no silica to interfere in the production of ultra pure water. KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS : • No chemicals to purchase for maintenance. • Durable …
